Parent Teacher Organization

The purpose of parent involvement through Parent Teacher Organizations (PTO) is to help children do better in school. When parents are involved in a child's education, both at home and at school, children do better academically. This includes higher grades and test scores, better attendance, better social skills, fewer behavior problems, and a tendency to graduate and continue their education.

The membership of the Canton R-V Parent Teacher Organization conducts yearly fundraisers to provide mini-grants to faculty and staff members of Canton R-V Elementary and Canton R-V High School. These grants help faculty members purchase resources and materials that improve the educational experience for all of the students in the classroom.

The Canton R-V PTO holds monthly meetings on the first Thursday of each month in the Elementary Conference Room.
