-Promenade committee will meet today during 5th hour in the band room…please check in to 5th hour before going to the meeting.

-Attention juniors and seniors......prom tickets are now on sale.  Tickets are $10 per person or $15 per couple.  See Mr. Morss or Mrs. Uppinghouse to purchase your tickets.

-There will be a mandatory informational meeting for anyone interested in being on the dance team next year…the meeting will be April 7th at 3:30 in the band lobby.

-The Splash Station Pool in Ewing is accepting applications for lifeguards for the 2017 season.  If you are interested, see Mrs. Oliver

-Canton Public Library patrons under the age of 16 wishing to use the library's computers must have a signed parental consent form on file.  These forms are readily available at the library.  The Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) requires this measure be in place as a condition for federal funding.  Your assistance is appreciated.

-MLD Faith Academy is offering basketball camp July 20th-22nd at Culver-Stockton College.  Registration forms are on the high school counter.

SENIOR ANNOUNCEMENTS:

-The sign-up sheet for the baseball concession stand is on the board outside Mrs. Brown’s room…please sign up if you are available to work.

-All seniors need to let Mrs. Oliver or Mrs. Arnold know where you intend to go to college and any scholarship awards you have received from your college of choice.  Please have this information turned in by Friday to be included in graduation.

-The senior class picture will be taken on Friday, April 7th at 2:45.  Students should meet in the band lobby and wear black shirts and jeans.

-Graduating seniors planning to attend Culver-Stockton College who might be interested in receiving a scholarship to be a C-SC football manager need to see Mrs. Oliver for more information.

-Seniors planning to major in conservation, preservation, biology, or an educational related field can apply for the $500 Whitetails Scholarship.  Deadline is Friday.

-Seniors planning to attend Culver-Stockton College are eligible to apply for the $500 Kiwanis Scholarship.  Preference will be given to Key Club members.  Deadline is Friday.

-Seniors with a minimum 2.5 GPA planning to attend MACC are eligible to apply for the $300 MACC Superintendent’s Scholarship.  Deadline is Friday.

-Seniors planning to attend the University of Missouri and major in an agricultural related field are eligible to apply for the $1000 Kevin Cary Memorial scholarship. Deadline is Friday.

-Seniors are eligible to apply for the $250 Canton R-V PTO scholarship.  Traditionally, preference is given to the student with the biggest increase in GPA from freshman to senior year.  Deadline is April 3rd.

-Seniors with at least a 2.0 GPA who rank between the 60th-90th percentile in class standing are eligible to apply for the $500 Joe Lloyd scholarship.  Deadline is April 3rd.

-Seniors can apply for the First Baptist Church "Outlive Your Life" Scholarship.  Variable amounts awarded.  Deadline is April 4th.

-Female seniors can apply for the First Baptist Church "Sisters" Scholarship.  Variable amounts awarded.  Deadline is April 4th.

-Seniors if you or an immediate family member (parent, grandparent) has an account at Bank of Monticello and you have a 3.5 or high GPA you are eligible to apply for the Bank of Monticello Customers Scholarship (worth $500).  Deadline to apply is April 8th.

-Seniors planning to major in a business or agricultural related field are eligible to apply for the $500 Bank of Monticello scholarship.  Deadline is April 8th.

-Seniors intending to pursue a music major or minor in college are eligible to apply for the $350 Rollin’on the River Scholarship.  Deadline is April 10th.

-Any senior can apply for the $750 Mildred Glover Scholarship.  Two scholarships will be awarded.  Deadline is April 11th.

-Seniors with a minimum 2.0 GPA who are planning to attend college in the state of Missouri are eligible to apply for the renewable $500 per semester Nichols Foundation scholarship.  Deadline is April 13th.

-Students planning to major in a medical related field are eligible to apply for the $2000 LaGrange Medical Board Scholarship.  Deadline is April 13th.

-Seniors can apply for the $500 Eagles #1800 Auxiliary scholarship.  Deadline is April 13th.

-Senior males with a minimum 3.0 GPA are eligible to apply for the $1000 Masonic Craft Lodge #287 Scholarship.  Deadline is April 21st.

-Senior, 4-year softball players are eligible to apply for the Kourtnie Geisendorfer Memorial Scholarship valued at $1000.  Deadline is April 21st.

Activities:

*Congratulations to the baseball team on their victory over Mark Twain last night!  Congratulations to Xander Jarvis…he finished 2nd and set a new school record in the 110 hurdles, he also placed 3rd in the 300 hurdles; Rick Kell finished 8th in the 100 and 6th in the 200; and Hope Johnston set a personal best in the discus!
