🚨🚨Attention all Canton R-V Seniors and Parents!!🚨🚨
The Canton R-V Agriculture Department will be hosting “Food for America” on Thursday, October 9, 2025 for children in Daycare, Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade. Students will participate with their class in the morning. There will be a variety of animals, including ducks, chickens, puppies, goats, etc. to see and touch. In addition, there will be various grains for the students to handle.
Vanilla ice cream & popsicles will be offered to the students after the event.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your student attending this event, please contact the elementary office.

This month, we are excited to shine a spotlight on Chevelle McCutchan and Amber Lair!
Chevelle is the daughter of Crystal Laudell and Lonnie Foust.
Chevelle is an active member of our school community, participating in Key Club, FFA, NHS, FBLA, and Student Council (president). Her dedication and involvement make her a wonderful example of leadership and school spirit.
When asked about her favorite thing at school, Chevelle shared:
“I like PE with Mr. Anderson and being a high school aide for Mrs. Anderson.”
Amber Lair is the daughter of Nathan and Carla Lair.
Amber is involved in Cheerleading, where she has shown tremendous school spirit.
When asked about her favorite thing at Canton R-V, Amber shared:
"My favorite thing about school is being able to recycle during science enrichment and community service."

Another busy week for Canton R-V students!
The Canton Tiger Trap team finished their trap season with an 11th place finish at the Area Shoot. The Canton Tigers competed against 20 other schools with roughly 200 Area competitors. The team had a great season and we want to thank all of our seniors for their leadership this year.

Big Truck Night was a huge success!
The Lady Tiger golf team finished 7th today at the Westran Invitational. Gabri Ehrenreich got 13th and Raelyn Merida tied for 15th, which were both medal positions.
Congratulations to the Canton Lady Tiger Golf team! They took first place at their meet last night over West Hancock and Brown County. Gabri Ehrenreich placed second as an individual with a 47.
School Calendar Information:
We apologize if there was miscommunication or if old versions of the school calendar are still out there.
The 2025-2026 School Calendar was revised in July to allow Canton R-V and Clark County to share a professional development presenter.
Canton R-V will be in session tomorrow, September 15.
Canton R-V will not be in session on September 22 for teacher in-service.
This is the only revision to the 2025-2026 school calendar.

Thank you to Mr. Doug Wilson for allowing our Agriculture Classes to come out for a visit this week. Mrs. Durst's Conservation and Natural Resource Class and Agriculture Science II students enjoyed getting out of the classroom for a day to learn about how Quail are raised. Mr. Wilson showed the students his brooding facilities for quail.
